This is what the world would look like if country’s were sized by those within them who are self-defined ‘religious’. Religion being a major shaper of politics and social welfare. For all those who think religion a negative societal force, let us remember the largest territory is India – not know for Empire building, territorial invasion (indeed quite the opposite, the victim of empire and divided into 3 post Independence). But we must also measure the impact of faith (or securism) by social improvement (not just territorial aggression) and the West has better social care for its population (perhaps at the cost of the East historically, perhaps to do with faith led empire building). So overall – what does it mean?
Perhaps it’s about the type of religion then? Too trite to say all faiths and cultures can learn from each other to improve.
